We have an excellent opportunity for a contract Senior Medical Wrier to join a global organisation on a 12 month contract.

The Senior Medical Writer (contract) role is to ensure that all medical writing deliverables are written and edited in accordance to the regulations set out by national boards and authorities, and delivered with efficiency and accuracy. The major aspects of the role are determined by the ability to synthesise data, and communicate it in an understandable, and articulate way. The candidate will also need to have an eye for detail; with the editing of previously written documents to FDA standards being a chief responsibility.

We are working with a pharmaceutical company mainly based in the R&D phase of drug development. They are an internationally renowned brand; and run through and support all phases of the drug development lifecycle. As a company, they run programmes to put their employees at the forefront of all their operations; and take part in numerous schemes to act in an environmentally sustainable way, and to support those affected by natural disasters around the world.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure that all written and edited documents are all up to the standard necessary for regulatory submissions
  • Ensure all documents are produced with strict adherence to ICH guidelines and applicable federal regulations
  • Utilize professional judgement and creative expertise to accurately, clearly, and concisely summarize information and present concepts
  • Be able to formulate and deliver new reports both on time and within budget

Required Education, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree from an accredited institution in a science or health related field 
  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory/medical writing in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or CRO environment
  • Contract experience ideally

Preferred Education and Experience

  • American Medical Writing Association (or equivalent) certificate
  • Phase I study experience
